After breaking off his studies to become a construction engineer Stefan Falke worked as a photographer’s assistant and screen printer in Munich and Hamburg. In 1985 he moved to New York where he worked as a photographer for German and Austrian magazines. In 1994 he moved back in Hamburg where he worked as on-site photographer for various film productions.
His long-term project „Moko Jumbies: The Dancing Spirits of Trinidad“ was exhibited at the Visa Pour L’Image in Perpignan and was also published in book form in New York. Other photographic projects have been exhibited at New York Photoville Festival (2014) and the Hamburg photo festival „Triennale der Fotografie“ (2015).
Since 2002 Falke lives in Brooklyn, New York.
